In this talk to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of Clement Attlee in the post-war general election of 1945, Stan Newens will assess the major achievements of this great reforming administration and consider its legacy for today.
Stan Newens was Labour MP for Epping from 1964 to 1970 and for Harlow from 1974 to 1983. His autobiography is titled, In Quest of a Fairer Society.
