  1. Why is there to be no actual face-to-face meeting of people in which real human phsical interactions can take place ????

  2. Why is there to be no actual face-to-face meeting of people such that an all round real, physical, sensuous ineraction of individuals can take place ??? There is no reason why such a "traditional" set up could not be combined with ZOOM. Lockdown casts a long shadow, it seems.

  3. Hi Glenn, I appreciate your preference for face-to-face meetings and it was my understanding that these LSHG meetings were to return to in-person meetings in central London for the autumn term (semester?). Can I just say that the availability of these meetings on Zoom has allowed me to continue to attend the LSHG meetings remotely from Dublin and it would have been impossible for me to justify the time and expense of visiting central London solely for this purpose. I am grateful that a remote option is still available, however I do understand that some people are thoroughly fed up with on-line interaction. Just to add mischievously, having attended many left-wing meetings, seminars and history talks through the years, I can't say that every event has included the 'sensuous interaction of individuals'. You have clearly had happier encounters that I've experienced. ;-()
